In Sukkur, 60% of the roads and 40,000 houses are damaged. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo

Karachi (HRNW) Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said in a statement that due to the recent monsoon rains and floods, there is a large-scale destruction in Sukkur as well. The recent rains and floods have damaged livestock and agriculture in Sukkur district.

Jam Ikramullah Dharejo further said that the flood has destroyed 60 percent of the roads in Sukkur district, while more than 40 thousand houses have been damaged in Sukkur district, including my constituency. He said, ‘ In Sukkur, standing crops on one lakh and thirty five thousand acres are destroyed. There is an urgent need for 30,000 more tents in Sukkur district’ . According to provincial minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo more than 75 thousand mosquito nets were also needed in Sukkur district. Sindh government had been spraying the flood affected areas to keep the people safe from epidemics and free medicines and other facilities were being provided in the medical camps.

He said that the work of providing ration to the flood victims is going on by Sindh government. There is also a dire need for 90,000 ration bags in Sukkur district. He said that we are going through a difficult time. Sindh Government stands with its people in this difficult time.
