Senior Anchors visited National Flood Response Coordination Centre

Islamabad (HRNW) Senior Anchors visited National Flood Response Coordination Centre today. Mr Ahsan Iqbal Deputy Chairman NFRCC welcomed the senior journalists. Mr Ahsan Iqbal in his opening remarks briefed on devastation caused by floods and role of Armed Forces , civil administration and various organisations. Mr Ahsan Iqbal said in this crisis there are heroes who worked day and night putting their own lives in danger to save precious lives.

Mr Ahsan Iqbal said that Rescue and relief teams have worked tirelessly and I have met officers both from Armed Forces and civil administration who remained in the field and I could see the pain in their eyes to help people in distress.

Mr Ahsan Iqbal appreciated media for highlighting the flood situation and indicating where relief efforts were required. Mr Ahsan Iqbal requested media to keep focus on this natural calamity highlighting devastation and suffering of the people.

NFRCC briefed senior journalists about damages to life and property and communication infrastructure and rehabilitation efforts particularly opening of rail and road networks and also plan to provide relief to people including way Forward for rehabilitating routine life in flood affected areas.
