Rupee holds its own against US dollar for third consecutive day

(HRNW) The rupee saw an indifferent trading day at the interbank on Tuesday as it closed just a paisa higher against the US dollar than it did on Monday.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) late on Tuesday afternoon, the rupee gained a paisa in value against the US dollar at Rs221.65.

Though miniscule, it marked a third consecutive day that the rupee had gained against the US dollar.

On Monday, the rupee had closed at Rs221.66.
