UO’s Math Department holds workshop on AI

Okara (HRNW) The University of Okara’s Department of Mathematics, organized a one-day international workshop on “Combinatorics and Artificial Intelligence”.

Professor Dr Andria Semaničovă-Feňovčikovă from Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the Technical University Kocsice-Slovakia and Azhar Farooq from Technology University of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, along with national speakers Dr Hira Benish from Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) and Dr Riaz ul Amin, Chairperson Faculty of Computing at the UO presented latest research and advancements in the area of artificial intelligence.

The event was chaired by Dr Muhammad Shoaib Saleem, Chairperson Department of Mathematics at the UO. In his address, he warmly welcomed the guest speakers and other participants and said that nations without advance knowledge and technology might be unable to survive in near future. Therefore, interchange of knowledge and latest research among the nations was need of the hour.

The other faculty members of the UO’s Math Department including Dr Hamood ur Rehman, Dr Muhammad Umair Shahzad, Dr Fariha Zafar, Dr Muhammad Irfan and Dr Hameed Ashraf also presented their research on the topic.
