KARACHI: (HRNW) The Academic Council of the University of Karachi has approved the immediate start of admissions to the university on an intermediate basis.
The Academic Council of the University of Karachi has rejected the proposal to give admission to the Bachelor program on the basis of the results of the first inter-year due to some technical reasons.
The admissions will be given on the basis of the results of the intermediate year 2 according to the old and prevailing procedure, however, the admissions process is being started immediately without waiting for the results, while the academic session 2023 is not coming due to the lack of results of some education boards. It has been decided to start with some delay and to overcome this delay the summer vacation at Karachi University has been shortened.
The Academic Council meeting was held on Monday afternoon under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi. The meeting was informed that by starting the admission process in University of Karachi immediately, advertisements of Test Base Department will be released possibly on Sunday, November 20.
Visual studies department test in the first part is likely to be held on December 4, BS third year admissions test on December 10 and BS first year admissions test on December 11 after which the open merit admissions will start. will be
Sheikh Al Jamia said that the academic council decided to announce the admissions of the test department and hold the test while releasing the results.
After which the final merit list will be awaited for the inter results of all the boards and only after the release of the results the merit list will be prepared and released. The new academic session will start from the end of January or the beginning of February. It was also decided to shorten the summer vacation to start the second semester on schedule.
