Istanbul (HRNW) Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was presented with a guard of honor by the Turkish Navy while the national anthem of both countries were played as he arrived in Istanbul on Friday to inaugurate the jointly-produced Corvette Ship PNS Khaibar.
He was received by Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the two walked the red carpet as a Turkiye Naval band played and a smartly-turned out contingent of the Turkish Navy presented a guard of honor.
Later, the Turkish Naval band played the national anthem of Pakistan, Pak Sar Zameen. It was followed by the Turkish national anthem.
It was followed by the ceremony to launch the ship.
Earlier on Friday, Shehabaz arrived in Istanbul for a two-day official visit to Turkiye at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
