COAS Asim Munir visits PM House for NSC meeting

ISLAMABAD: (HRNW) Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Asim Munir visited the Prime Minister’s House today to attend the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting in wake of the recent terrorism wave in Pakistan.

As per details, the COAS reached the PM House to discuss the decisions taken in the previous NSC meeting regarding the rise in terror attacks.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chairs the meeting that is attended by high-level civil and military officials.

The delegation in the meeting will approve decisions regarding terrorists working against the peace and stability in Pakistan. It will also discuss the proposals shared in the last session and approve a guideline on economic and national security amid soaring terrorism in the country.

Notably, the previous meeting of NSC with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair ended on notes to fight the scourge of terrorism in Pakistan.

Earlier, COAS Munir stated that Pakistan is passing through one of its most critical junctures and this requires the development of national consensus by all stakeholders to sail through the confronted challenges of economy and terrorism.
