The voting turnout was very low due to the MQM boycott

KARACHI (HRNW) Due to the boycott of MQM Pakistan, the voting turnout in local body elections in Karachi and Hyderabad was very low.
MQM Pakistan has boycotted the local body elections protesting the issue of constituencies.
From the start of polling this morning till the evening, the usual rush was not seen at the polling stations.
A small number of voters left their homes due to which the polling stations remained silent. In Karachi and Hyderabad, especially in MQM-dominated areas, people did not leave their homes and participate in the voting process. Polling stations remained deserted in MQM-dominated areas.
In other areas of the city too, people left their homes in very small numbers for voting, due to which the turnout remained very low.
