Fruits, Vegetables Prices Hit Record High During Ramazan

KARACHI: (HRNW) The prices of fruits and vegetables have skyrocketed, getting out of reach of the common citizens just after the beginning of the Ramazan month.

According to the Survey, the price of all vegetables including potatoes, onion, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chillies, mint, lemon and coriander has been increased from Rs 50 to Rs 300 per kg violating price lists issued by the district government price control committee.

On the other hand, the price of fruits including apples, guava, strawberries, Bananas, Oranges, and Watermelon has been raised from Rs 200 to Rs 600, respectively.
