KARACHI (HRNW) The dismissed contract employees of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology staged a protest on MA Jinnah Road for the fifth day and raised slogans against the Vice Chancellor.
Outside the main gate of Dawood University of Technology, the sacked employees staged a demonstration and blocked MA Jinnah Road, shouting slogans.
The dismissed employees said that more than 42 employees of Daily Wages and 13 contract employees were dismissed from Dawood University of Engineering and Technology. Most belong to the lower grades. Nine research associates are also among those to be fired.
The employees have demanded that the terminated contract employees should be reinstated immediately, the employees should be made permanent, if this is not done, the protest will continue daily.
