Civilian injured due to PMT collapse, K Electric ordered to pay 92 lakh compensation

KARACHI (HRNW) City Court Karachi Senior Civil Judge Razak Hussain has ordered K Electric to pay Rs 92 lakh as compensation to the victim in the case of PMT falling.

The court ordered K Electric to pay the damages within 30 days.

Advocate Usman Farooq, the lawyer of the petitioner, told the court during the hearing that the incident occurred on November 15, 2018 in Orangi Town Sadiqabad, due to the negligence of PMTK Electric.

The lawyer said that Asim Imam was badly injured, even today many parts of his body are disabled.

The petitioner’s counsel requested the court to impose a heavy fine on K Electric and order it to pay damages.
