Lahore (HRNW) The IG is charged cum responsible for overall administrative management of police force. He exercises independently, empowered as enshrined in prescribed legislation.
I am perfectly right in saying and my view that Police’s profession around the world, specifically in Pakistan, is thankless, regardless of police rendering non- stop service 24/7 . We have less sources of working, slinging upon lot of burden of duties, saying as of , law and order, Court duties and many more. Moreover, in the darkest side of all above, we minimally spare time for families to stay with.
But seemingly, this decayed track of unpleasant environment tending to a conducive turn due to arrival of incumbent IG Usman Anwar sb. Never before such a fine commander seen like him whose indefatigable efforts for welfare of his under command force is outstanding. He not only spread a sheet like promotions of Officers but also paved the way as facilitation for public as well.
Besides lot of reforms being initiated by IG Punjab and being retired DSP, I would like to draw a kind attention towards an issue of driving and arms license fee being charged upon renewal of licenses from serving and retired police Officers. In this context, I would refer the other armed forces , Army/Ranger, whom the jawans and officers are granted gratis licenses, that of armed and driving. Therefore, being adequate demand, we all police personnel may be exempted from paying driving and armed license fee.
