Karachi (HRNW) On the special instructions of Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain, a team of SFA has conducted a joint operation at Patel Hospital Gulshan Iqbal Karachi. The canteen in the hospital was found to be in very poor condition and almost 40 kilogram expired meat was found. Due to this situation, the kitchen operation of the hospital was suspended and the meat was wasted while a fine of rupees two lakhs was also imposed.
Meanwhile Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain, in a statement issued here on Tuesday, has warned the kitchen / canteen owners of public and private hospitals across Sindh to maintain the quality of their respective kitchens / canteens in accordance with health principles and follow Sindh Food Authority ‘ s rules, otherwise they will not only be fined but strict legal action will also be taken against them.
