Magnitude 5.8 earthquake hits Islamabad, adjoining areas

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted Islamabad and its adjoining areas on Monday, media reported.

According to the seismological center, the depth of the earthquake was 140 kilometers, while the epicenter was 103 kilometers in the East of Doda District of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

People came out of their houses in fear by reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported from any part of Islamabad so far.
