Lahore (Hrnw) PDMA Punjab has issued an alert to the administration regarding rains. According to the spokesman PDMA, there are chances of rain in different areas of Punjab next week. From February 26 to February 27, there are chances of rain in the upper areas of Punjab. It will rain in Attock, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali. There are chances of rain and hailstorm in Bhakkar, Leh and Dera Ghazi Khan. The spokesman further informed that there are chances of heavy rains in the upper areas of the rivers including Lahore. There are chances of heavy rain and snowfall in Murree and Galiat. DG PDMA Imran Qureshi said that the roads and traffic flow may be affected due to snowfall. DG Imran Qureshi issued instructions to the administration to remain alert. DG Imran Qureshi further said that the district emergency operation centers including the provincial control room of PDMA have been alerted. Tourists and travelers should be extra cautious during the forecast period. DG PDMA Imran Qureshi also instructed the concerned districts to keep staff and machinery on high alert. He further said that WASA and Municipal Corporation should not allow water to stagnate in the low lying areas. During rains concerned officers remain in the field to monitor the activities.
