Sindh Excise Dept collects Rs. 2.5 crore at 11th day of tax recovery campaign

Karachi (HRNW)  March 1st. A total of 25054 vehicles were checked till the end of the eleventh day of road checking campaign of Excise and Taxation Sindh to collect tax from owners of tax defaulting vehicles. According to details, 5510 in Karachi, 7039 in Hyderabad, 3043 in Sukkur,
3135 in Larkana, 2540 in Mirpur Khas and 3787 vehicles in Shaheed Benazirabad were checked.
A total of 2337 vehicles have been impounded while the documents of 2286 vehicles have also been seized so far during the road checking campaign to collect tax from the owners of tax defaulting vehicles. Till the end of the eleventh day, a total of more than Rs. 2. 5 crore tax has also been collected. Meanwhile, Director General Sindh Excise and Taxation Department Aurangzeb Panhwar has said in a statement that the road checking campaign to nab tax defaulting vehicles will continue till March 7.
