Karachi (HRNW) Sindh Food Authority team have taken action in East district. The action was taken under the supervision of Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain.
Director Operations Rafiq Memon, Deputy Director East Arjeel Memon and other officers were also present on this occasion. The action was taken before Sehri. The team of Sindh Food Authority imposed a fine of two and a half lakh rupees on Bab e Sweets while a fine of one hundred and twenty thousand rupees was imposed on the two branches of Red Apple. These fines were imposed on poor sanitation conditions.
Expired food items at Red Apple were discarded on the spot. Sindh Food Authority team also inspected the shops of chicken meat sellers. The team wasted the expired chicken meat on the spot. Improvement notices were also issued to several shops. Talking on this occasion, Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain said that no compromise would be made on the principles of hygiene. Strict action would be taken against those who do not follow the SOPs of Sindh Food Authority.
