Pakistan Baseball League (PBL) is being held following the successful organization of the GSP, CM Punjab Baseball League

Hyderabad (HRNW)- Following the successful organization of the Global Sports Partners (GSP) Chief Minister Punjab Baseball League at Forman Cristian (FC) college Lahore, It appears to be an announcement about the Pakistan Baseball League (PBL) being held in Pakistan. The Secretary-General of the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB), Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, has made this announcement with great joy and pride. This article also mentions the support of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, who is a former baseball player herself and has a passion for the sports .The successful organization of the PBL is expected to bring a positive change to the future of baseball in Pakistan.

Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, the son of the late Syed Khawar Shah, who is considered the founder of baseball and softball in Pakistan, is extending an invitation to all those who are passionate about baseball to join the PBL, which is aimed at revolutionizing the future of baseball in the region.

He emphasizes that the PBL is not just a league, but a symbol of unity, opportunity, and excellence that will promote the spirit of cooperation and raise the standard of baseball in the region. The league will provide a platform for local talent to shine, which has been overlooked due to limited resources, lack of exposure, and inability to participate in international events.

The PBL aims to change this trend by providing a platform where these talented players can showcase their skills, such as pitching at 90 miles per hour, hitting home runs, stealing bases, and mastering curve balls. The league is an opportunity for Pakistan to raise its standard of baseball and compete with international teams.

It’s wonderful to see the passion and dedication of the Pakistani baseball community, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19. The establishment of the Pakistan Baseball League (PBL) is a significant step forward, providing a platform for talented players from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, West Asia, and other countries to showcase their skills.

The invitation to international baseball circles, sponsors, and federations to join hands and support the development of baseball in Pakistan is a great initiative. The lack of baseball stadiums in Pakistan is a significant hurdle, but with collective efforts, it’s possible to overcome this challenge and create world-class infrastructure for the Baseball sport.

In the conversation with Perwaiz Ahmed Sheikh, Media Coordinator for the PBL and Secretary of the Sindh Baseball Association, he invites everyone to work together to make baseball a reality in Pakistan. He expresses hope that within 5 years, baseball will become a $100 million industry in Pakistan, creating more jobs, exports, tourism, and enhancing the country’s global image.

He notes that even a small percentage of young people playing baseball in Pakistan are achieving excellent education, employment, and foreign scholarships. He encourages youth to take up baseball and urges sports boards, DSOs, and media to include baseball in their calendars and coverage, alongside other popular sports like cricket and hockey.

Let’s work together to build a legacy that transcends borders and inspires future generations. I’m excited to see the progress and success of baseball in Pakistan and requested to CM Sindh, KPK, Balochistan & other units to kindly help in promoting Baseball by providing infra structure & its inclusion in Education & Sports departments programmes.
