Islamabad (HRNW): At least 25 suspects were apprehended during security agencies search operation in Islamabad today (Wednesday).According to details, police and Rangers launched a joint raid in various areas including Sarai Kharbuza Dhoke Abbasi, Dhoke Paracha and Madina Town in the morning and arrested 25 people including six Afghanis who were failed to prove their identity.
The security personnel have also recovered arms from the possession of the suspects.
The detainees have been shifted to some undisclosed place for further interrogation while a case has also been lodged against six Afghan nationals under foreign act.
Earlier, a major operation was started against foreigners residing illegally in the Federal Capital. Licenses of 27 private security companies were also suspended.
The decision for the operation was taken during a high level meeting presided by Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar pertaining to the security situation.
