Pakistan reports six deaths as number of coronavirus cases surge to 824

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – Pakistan on Monday has reported six deaths from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases have surged to 824 as 352 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Sindh, 108 in Balochistan, 246 in Punjab, 31 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 71 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 15 in Islamabad and one in Azad Kashmir.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday imposed partial lockdown throughout the province for the next 14 days in order to control the spread of the virus as number of confirmed cases surged to 246 in the province.

He appealed the masses to cooperate with the police, army and law-enforcement agencies, adding that pillion riding has also been banned although families will be exempted.
