Larkana man ‘beaten by police’ for taking niece to hospital

Larkana (HRNW)  A Larkana man has claimed that the police beat him with sticks for taking his niece to the hospital on Wednesday.

Sultan told the media that his seven-year-old niece wasn’t feeling well so he took her to the hospital. The police, however, didn’t let him cross a barrier. “I even showed them my niece’s prescription but they ended up beating me,” he added.

An injured Sultan staged a protest against the beating. His family members rushed him to a nearby hospital and his niece was shifted to the Sheikh Zayed Women’s Hospital.

The doctors have said that the child is in critical condition.
