Punjab wants to open its restaurants

Lahore (HRNW) The restaurants in Punjab should be allowed to open up as the province has eased many of its lockdown restrictions, a provincial cabinet committee on coronavirus agreed on Thursday.

The meeting, which was chaired by Abdul Aleem Khan, agreed that the restaurants should be allowed to open with proper protocols and SOPs. They discussed that many countries have opened their restaurants with only a few people being allowed inside at a time.

The recommendations have been sent to the Centre and restaurants will open for dining only after the approval of the federal government.

Punjab has also changed the timings for its major markets. They will operate from 9am to 5pm now four days a week. The days leading to Eid, the shops were allowed to operate till 10pm.
