Islamabad (HRNW) Former prime minister and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The news was confirmed by PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb. He has quarantined himself at home, she said. Other members of his family are now getting tested for the virus.
Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has regretted the test results, calling Abbasi an asset of the party and prayed for his speedy recovery.
Shehbaz added the virus was spreading across the country at a dangerous rate as more and more people were getting infected by it.
