Sindh minister hints at re-imposing ban on public transport

Karachi (HRNW) Sindh Transport Minister Awais Shah has hinted at re-imposition of a ban on public transport in the province.

In his statement, Shah said transporters and passengers were not acting upon the SOPs issued to contain the coronavirus spread.

Buses, coaches and other public transport vehicles have been fined, he said. The minister said they were considering serious measures in this regard.

He said if transporters continued violation of the SOPs, then the government would think of re-imposing a ban.

Shah clarified that inter-provincial and inter-district public transport remains suspended in the province.
