Hamdard tributes to Sister Ruth Lewis

Karachi (HRNW)- The President Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Mrs Sadia Rashid has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of prominent social worker Sister Ruth Lewis, and one of the founding members Darus Sukoon Karachi. May her soul rest in peace. She has paid rich tributes to her services that spans over 51 years to the humanity remarkably for the destitute, severely disabled children and elderly, socially displaced girls and boys. She has extended her sympathies to the bereaved family and the Children, Nuns and Staff of Darus Sukoon to bear the irreparable loss. Hamdard always well-regarded her selfless contributions and conferred upon the Hakim Mohammed Said Awards in recognition of her services in 2018. Mrs. Rashid has recommended the Government of Pakistan to announce highly civilian award and to name a street or road after her name in Karachi. She also hoped her spirit to serve humanity would be sustained with blaze at Darus Sukoon.
