Hostile powers seek to destabilize Pakistan, Shia Islamic parties’ leaders

Karachi (HRNW) Shia Islamic parties’ leaders have made it clear that Shia Muslims would continue to practice Islam as per their jurisprudential interpretation which is Constitutional right of every Shia Muslim citizens of Pakistan.
Allama Syed Shahenshah Naqvi, Allama Syed Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Allama Shabbir Maisami and veteran Shia Islamic scholars expressed these views, while addressing a joint press conference in Karachi.
Renowned cleric Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi said that their joint viewpoint enjoys full support from both Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari.
They said that ongoing malicious hate campaign in Pakistan was linked with global and regional geo-political and geo-strategic changes. Because, they added, Pakistan was moving for change of bloc and orbit that has angered the old bloc.
They said that recognizing Israel by Arab regimes may also turn the entire Islamic Republic of Pakistan against them.
They said enemies (of Islam and Pakistan) are trying to divert attention from these developments and for that reason, those hostile powers seek to destabilize Pakistan.
Having given that background, aforementioned Shia leaders and scholars said they believe in intra-Ummah and intra-humanity (interfaith) unity and peaceful co-existence.
They reminded all that Shia Islamic parties and scholars have made huge sacrifices for the sake of unity of Muslims and Pakistani nation.
Similarly, they reiterated that all Shia Islamic jurisprudents have forbidden violation of sanctities of other sects.
Due to that reason, Shia Islamic leadership never defended violators of sanctities, they said.
However, they vowed that Shia Muslims are not bound to follow the ideology of any sect which is not authentic and not compatible with their own interpretation.
Furthermore, they made it clear Shia Muslims have Islamic and Constitutional right to live their lives practicing Shia Islam and nobody should violate this right.
They asked Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to take notice of provocative hate campaign and unilateral discriminatory crackdown on Shia Muslims.
Furthermore, they urged the PM and COAS to take notice of misuse of public gatherings and social media platforms to malign (Shia Muslims) and fanning differences (sectarian hatred).
They announced to hold an all Karachi Convention of all Shia Islamic scholars (clerics), Imams of Friday prayers and daily congregational prayers and Zakireen (religious speakers) on September 05, 2020.
Therein they would chalk out a comprehensive policy keeping in view the overall situation and conditions across Pakistan.
Shia Islamic parties’ leaders condemned French magazine Charlie Hebdo for reprinting blasphemous caricatures. They also condemned burning of copies of Holy Quran (in book format) in the Western countries.
They urged government of Pakistan to take this issue at proper forums and use diplomatic channels and influence to ensure an end to blasphemy of Hazrat Mohammad, the last apostle of God and Prophet of Islam and Humanity.
