Sind Govt serving disaster-stricken people since the recent torrential rains, Taimur Talpur

Karachi (HRNW) Focal Person Rain Emergency Relief for Umerkot and Provincial Minister for Information Science and Technology Taimur Talpur have been working tirelessly to provide relief to the people affected by the recent torrential rains.

The minister has set up a relief camp in Kunri to provide relief to the victims. The relief camp has provided cooked food and tents to thousands of people in the last 10 days. While the provincial minister is providing relief to the people by making emergency visits to different areas. All the district administrations are active and engaged in providing relief to the victims.

On the occasion, the provincial minister said that the recent rains have wreaked havoc all over Sindh, especially in Umerkot. More than 60 per cent crops have been destroyed in Umerkot district. It is time to serve the people and not politics.

He said that the country was currently in the grip of floods due to heavy rains. If the government did not take appropriate steps in time, human tragedy could arise in the country. The federal government should stop scoring political points and focus on public issues.

The minister added that they have been serving the disaster-stricken people since the recent torrential rains, providing cooked food and tents to thousands of people so far, but much remains to be done.
