Alhamra paid homage to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with a Qawwali

Lahore (HRNW)- The Lahore Arts Council has always celebrated every festival with full vigour and enthusiasm. Once again, maintaining its tradition, on the occasion of the holy month of Rabi Ul Awal, Alhamra paid homage to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) with a Qawwali.
The Qawwali titled “Marhaba Sarkar A Gaye” was created by the artists of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts who worked hard day and night. The artists participating in the Qawwali say that while people from all over the world are showcasing their talents in the field of music, the students of Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts are working hard and diligently to make their country name. Irfan Saleem wrote the lyrics of the Qawwali while Khalid Khan composed the music.

On the occasion Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Saman Rai, while referring to the Qawwali “Marhaba Sarkar A Gaye”, said, “My idea behind preparing this Qawwali was that Alhamra should present a beautiful Kalam to the people on this auspicious occasion.” That is why the students of Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts have composed an excellent Qawwali in a very short period. Rai said that Alhamra considers it its duty to encourage these youngsters at every stage with the spirit with which they are creating innovation in the fields of music. Saman Rai stated that the Lahore Arts Council is taking concrete steps in every area of arts for the youth of the country by using all means, which will yield positive results in the future. The Qawwali has been released on Alhamra’s YouTube channel which is viewed and admired by thousands of viewers, she added.
