Meeting held to celebrate “Seerat-Ul Nabi PBUH week” at Alhamra

Lahore (HRNW)- An important meeting was held to celebrate “Seerat-Ul Nabi PBUH week” here on Tuesday at a Lahore Arts Council, the Mall. The meeting was chaired by Executive Director Alhamra Saman Rai.

During the meeting it was decided to celebrate “Sirat-Ul-Nabi PBUH Week” in a grand manner it was also decided to highlight Islamic cultural heritage in full during the week.

Speaking at the meeting, Executive Director Saman Rai said that love for the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) is an integral part of our faith and Islam is a complete code of life that teaches peace, love and affection for everyone. Rai further said that Programs related on Sirat-un-Nabi will be held throughout the week. A Naatiya Mushaira will also be a part of these events in which poets from all over the country will be invited.

She further stated that Alhamra is hosting an exhibition based on the name of Muhammad PBUH, which is a part of Sirat-Ul-Nabi week. In this exhibition, more than 100 works of art by 70 artists from all over the country are displayed which are becoming a source of refreshment of faith for the viewers.

A workshop on Islamic calligraphy is also being organized which will continue throughout the week. In which eminent calligraphers of the country will impart their skills to young artists, she added.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Admin Aftab Ahmad Ansari, Deputy Director Culture Complex Naveed Ul Hassan, Deputy Director Archives Muhammad Arif. Assistant Director Admin Khurram Naveel and other officers of Alhamra.
