Syma Nadeem’s full support for the concept of Shamsi Bibi and Solar Chacha

Karachi (HRNW)- Mna Syma Nadeem Parliamentary Secy MoIPC and Convener of SDG 7 of Clean & Affordable Renewable Energy organised a Consultative Dialogue on the targets of the said subject yesterday in a local .The Event was attended by 13 Parliamentarians all either Conveners of various SDG Goals or Taskforce members of SDGs.Mna Fatyana Convener SDG Taskforce welcomed the guests and Mna Syma gave an inaugural speech emphasising the dire need to convert to ARE sector in Pakistan.The guest speakers from the Ministry of Energy Mr Naeem Memon gave an extensive PPT presentation upon the new ARE Policy 2019 and its salient features plus an overall comparison of the last policy 2006 with the new one . To give a camparative study of the work done worldwide and here Mr Basharat an Energy Expert gave a presentation.The other two deliberations came from Mr Ammar Jaffrey and Ms Sadaf Khalid.SDG Academy s Chairman & CEO respectively who talked about Partnerships and taking Stakeholders onboard.Overall it was a commendable effort by Mna Syma to bring together All the stake holders under one roof. Towards the end Mr Ammar floated the concept of Solar Bibi And Solar Chacha which was greatly appreciated by the members and Stake holders Mna Syma Nadeem announced all support to the Concept of solar Bibi & Solar Chacha.The Dialogue was concluded on a Note of Thanks by Mr Fatyana.The takeaway from this meeting was to push the work on SDG 7 on a fast track as Energy is the only Goal that is interlinked with all the other goals. The Energy deficit in our country and the fast depleting gas by 2030 is by itself a reminder to convert to Renewable Energy resources before we are pushed back into dark ages again. The Seminar was certainly a push forward in the direction of adopting the Renewable sources as a cheap and affordable means to acquire Energy in the future.
