Three killed after car overturns in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth

Karachi (HRNW) Two women and a child were killed while a teenager was critically injured after their car overturned in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth.

Rescue teams told local tv that the victims were headed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The speeding vehicle turned turtle on the Superhighway, near Jeewani Heights.

There were four people in the car: the driver, Shumaila, her mother Shaista, her daughter Zarshal and son Zaryab.

They were rushing to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where her father, 60-year-old Nasir, was being taken because he had a heart attack. Shumaila’s brother Kamran had taken their father, while she was driving the rest of the family.

The police say Shumaila was speeding and hit a footpath, causing the car to flip over. Shumaila, her mother and daughter were killed in the accident while Zaryab was critically injured. He has been shifted to a hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

Upon hearing the news, Nasir also passed away at the hospital.
