Culture has an important role to play in social stability, Moneeza Hashmi

Lahore, (HRNW) The Chairperson Alhamra Moneeza Hashmi along Board of Governors members Lahore Arts Council visited the Alhamra Cultural Complex Gaddafi Stadium, where they admired the works of Maestros in the gallery. They appreciated the young artists practicing in visual art classes and talked to them about their work. BOG’s members watched performances of artists from the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts in the open air and met Alhamra officers and employees.
On the occasion, Chairperson Board of Governors Moneeza Hashmi said that, culture has an important role to play in social stability. Hashmi said that, keeping in view the real needs we are moving in the right direction. We are blessed that our all board members are cultured and always ready to take immediate decisions for the promotion of art and culture, she added.
Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Alhamra Saman Rai thanked all the members and apprised them of the new initiatives. “Our actions are creating an atmosphere of respect in the society,” Rai said. She further said that “Our culture is the guarantor of safe social attitudes, we are advancing Alhamra and its goals under a modern vision, and it is our success for the youth to be a part of Alhamra’s team.
The Board members included Asif Sana, Naveen Farid, Waris Baig, Ayesha Shah Nawaz, expressed their satisfaction over the excellent performance of the management.
