Sindh to sign MoU with other provinces for vehicle data sharing: Mukesh Kumar Chawla

KARACHI: (HRNW) Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation and Anti-Narcotics and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has reached an understanding with other provinces regarding data sharing of vehicles. Will sign a memorandum to verify vehicle details whenever needed. He said this while presiding over a meeting at his office here. Secretary Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Ejaz Memon, Directors General Haji Saleem Bhutto, Munir Ahmed Zardari, Director Admin / MVR Hassan Affandi, Deputy Directors Shakeel Ahmed, Mehran Khan and others also attended the meeting.

Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla added that it was time to sign a memorandum of understanding with other provinces to curb vehicle theft and minimize illegal use of vehicles. He also asked the concerned officers to scrutinize the draft MoU and submit a comprehensive report in this regard soon so that it could be put into practice. He said that vehicle data sharing between the provinces is very important and for this purpose all stakeholders must be involved.

Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Anti-Narcotics and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla said that Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has already introduced online tax submission facility and computerized challans are being issued for property tax while businessmen have their own. Businesses can register their business on the Excise Department’s website in an easy way.
