Punjab Culture Day will be celebrated across the province on March 14

Gujranwala (HRNW) On the special directive of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, “Punjab Culture Day” will be celebrated across the province on March 14 under the auspices of Information and Culture Department. In a video link meeting held in this regard, Secretary Information and Culture Punjab Raja Jahangir Anwar said that the culture of national unity, brotherhood and love is to be nurtured by promoting customs, local sports and other daily activities of the Punjab.

Additional Chief Secretary Iram Bukhari and all the Divisional Commissioners of Punjab were given a detailed briefing on Punjab Culture Day. The Provincial Secretary Information and Culture said that all was set to celebrate “Punjab Culture Day”with full zeal and zest across the province. He added Preparations had been started for the event and in this regard the main program would be held at Lahore while various colorful events would be organized in all the districts of the province so that the rich Punjabi culture could be introduced not only in the country but in the whole world.

He further said wrestling, Kabaddi, Traditional Foods, Local Handicrafts, Heer, Saif ul Malook, qawwalis, customs of Punjab, exhibition of Punjabi dresses and other activities would also be a part of the day’s celebrations. He said that after the outbreak of corona, , people were suffering from mental and psychological disorders,. Positive recreational activities would provide them with a pleasant atmosphere which would also improve their mental health. He said that the culture of Punjab would be introduced in these colorful events with the full participation of the people and through various cultural activities, mutual brotherhood and unity would also be promoted.
