Firdous Shamim demand’s to the inquiry against auditor general Sindh and the entire department

Karachi (HRNW) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Leader and Member Provincial Assembly FirdousShamim Naqvi, Parliamentary Leader in Sindh Assembly Bilal Ghaffar, Member Sindh assembly Addressing a press conference in the Sindh Assembly, Mr Firdous shamim Naqvi said that The Auditor General’s report regarding Sindh for 2020-21 has been released. In view of the revelations made in the report, we demand the inquiry against auditor general Sindh and the entire department. Two departments may be involved in the ongoing corruption case in Sindh province. One is the Auditor General of Sindh and the other is anti-corruption. The audit report is attached to the Auditor General of Pakistan. Out of 29 years, 13 reports have not been taken by the Public Accounts Committee. The Public Accounts Committee did not open 13 reports.

Mr Naqvi added that The officers who committed corruption in the institutions during 1992 did not know anything about it. They will still be in their posts today. Every year we are given a package. This year’s report. I have serious problems. This year’s total amount is Rs. 252 billion. An interesting column has been made in the audit report which has been named “Others”. This column is worth Rs. 122,871 million which has no details. This is up to 45% of the total amount, and similarly, in the same stories of previous years, no account has been taken of the officers who committed irregularities in the past, at least the officers who committed fraud are mentioned by the Auditor General of Sindh.However, the Auditor General in his report did not mention the corruption of the officers who took the plebiscite, this represents a failure of government.
FirdousShamim Naqvi said that only 5 formations were audited in 2016-17, 6 formations were conducted in 2018-19, most of the 10 formations were conducted in 2020-21. The percentage should be audited. They do 100% audit of small ministries and where theft and scams are more, the audit is done less. When I was a counselor, people of my council used to tell me that they even have to pay for their legitimate medical reimbursement bills which means, government employees have to pay for even their legitimate and authentic bills to be released. The Education and Literacy Department had 520 formations last year. These formations have been reduced to 124 this year.
Firdous shamim Naqvi said that According to their report, 9 formations were audited, 96 in 2017 and 65 in 2018 and now 25 out of 124 formations have been audited which is 20% ie 80% no audit has been done. The Health Department’s formation used to be 212. It has been reduced to 50 percent this year, ie 22 percent. An audit will be done. In 2020-21, the Agriculture Department did not submit 70% of audit documents, the Sindh government is supporting this loot. There is not a single member of the opposition in the Public Accounts Committee. Who will answer on the issue of public tax? The Auditor-General works under the President of Pakistan. Wheat has been stolen. Wheat has not been released. Nothing has been clarified. Farzana Raja has been giving illegal money to more than 800,000 people in BISP. Nothing has been said in the audit report on the issue of corruption in BISP. What is the purpose of the 50% money is put in the “others”? 5% money expenditure is put in “others”, what is the Auditor General doing? These bandaged brothers support each other.
FirdousShamim Naqvi said that the High Court issued an order to remove the officers who took plebiscite. Sindh government still keeping the plebiscite officers in their desired posts. The entire Sindh government does not provide documents to the Auditor General. Not giving papers is the biggest reason for the theft. Waste paper of audit books is of no importance. The Public Accounts Committee does not even open these books. All the audit laws are for the Punjab Assembly. There is no law for the Sindh Assembly. Murad Ali Shah is the contractor of Sindh. There is no transparency here. for 13 years, the PPP kept saying that we have come on the basis of performance, performance is good, so where are the Karachi buses? Why the garbage is not being picked up? We have sent this letter to Governor Sindh. Governor Sindh will send our letter to the President of Pakistan. We want those responsible for the hot market of corruption in Sindh to be identified and those responsible for the scams in the audit to be brought to light.
