Hamdard Foundation, Online Journalism, KCCI organize Rooh Afza heat relief camp

KARACHI (HRNW) : Online Journalism, in collaboration with Hamdard Foundation and Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) organized a one-day Rooh Afza heat relief camp outside the office of KCCI yesterday to serve ready to drink Rooh Afza to the members of KCCI, visitors and commuters in order to protect them from the scorching heat. Rooh Afza heat relief camp was inaugurated by Mr. Shamsul Islam, Senior Vice President, KCCI.
Shamsul Islam praised this initiative of journalists and said that KCCI also actively participated in such welfare activities. “We have always tried to play our role in the betterment of the society as it is our religious and national duty,” he said.
On the occasion, journalists Arsalan Siddiqui, Imran Zakir, Waqas Siddiqui, Wasim Khan, Akbar Khan, Afzal Zal and Syed Sohaib, while explaining the objectives of this activity, said Hamdard Pakistan had launched Rooh Afza float activity in July to protect the citizens from the heat wave. This activity was carried out for a whole month. Rooh Afza float activity provided protection to millions of citizens across the country from the scorching heat. In light of this initiative, the journalist fraternity also decided to join hands and support Hamdard Pakistan in this noble cause.
Arsalan Siddiqui said “Rooh Afza is a national drink and Pakistanis have a religious and cultural association with it.”
