Demolition of Jubilee Cloth Market shops begins

KARACHI: (HRNW) Demolition work of Jubilee Cloth Market shops has been started in Karachi. In the first phase, 32 shops will be demolished. Sindh Traders Union has condemned the action. MQM leader Khawaja Izhar requested the Sindh government to give respite to shopkeepers.
The district administration and police were also present during the demolition of shops on the drain in Jubilee Cloth Market.
In the first phase, 32 out of 162 shops in the market will be demolished. Jamil Paracha, head of the Sindh Traders Union, condemned the shoplifting.
MQM leader Khawaja Izhar also reached Jubilee Market. Khawaja Izhar said that he was not against the operation but the shopkeepers should get time. The operation should be taken forward with the confidence of the vendors.
