Sindh Minister Irrigation takes notice of dumping harmful substances in Rice Canal

Karachi , (HRNW) Sindh Minister for Irrigation Department, Jam Khan Shoro has taken serious notice of public complaints received on throwing harmful substances into Rice Canal at Larkana.

He issued strict directives to the Provincial Secretary of Irrigation department for taking strict action with accordance of law against involved persons.

Provincial Minister for Irrigation department said the water of Rice Canal is not only used for the irrigation purposes but also used for drinking purpose as well. Jam Khan Shoro added that dumping hazardous and unhealthy substances into the Rice canal also affects human health and aquatic life.

Further, Provincial Minister for Irrigation department Jam Khan Shoro directed to the Provincial Secretary of Irrigation department for taking necessary steps to prevent Rice Canal to be contaminated and action should be taken against involved persons as per law.
