Explosion at CNG station in Karachi, 4 killed

KARACHI: (HRNW) Two people were killed and three others injured when a gas leak exploded at a CNG station near Abdullah College in North Nazimabad. The bodies and injured have been shifted to the hospital.

Police say it is too early to comment on the nature of the blast, and have called for a bomb disposal squad. SSP Malik Murtaza said that the blast took place in the electric room of the CNG pump. Initially, the blast did not look like sabotage.

The SSP Central said that 4 people were killed and 6 others injured in the blast. No cylinder was installed in the room where the blast took place. Police officials say the blast appears to have been caused by a gas leak, awaiting a bomb disposal report.
