Negotiations between Mecca Terrace residents, police and SBCA successful

Karachi (HRNW) Negotiations between the residents of Mecca Terrace building on Akbar Road in Karachi, police and SBCA were successful. The SBCA and the police gave the residents 15 days.

Residents will be notified of encroachment sites. SBCA officials say residents will demolish the encroachment sites themselves. If the encroachments are not stopped after 15 days, the SBCA will take action itself.

When the SBCA and the police tried to enter the building for the operation to break the Mecca terrace, there was a bitter argument between the police and the residents. Residents of the building once again prevented police from entering.

The residents of Makkah Terrace demanded that we be given a respite of 4 days. After negotiations between the parties, the SBCA gave a respite of 15 days to the residents.
