Karachi. (HRNW) Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sadiq Ali Memon, after protest of transporters against collection of additional royalty and district tax on sand, gravel, crushed and stone vehicles, had a meeting of concerned officers and transporters at DC Office Thatta.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Thatta Ghazanfar Ali Qadri, SSP Thatta Dr Muhammad Imran Khan, Assistant Director Minerals, Chief Officer District Council Thatta, Royalty Tax Collecting Contractors and leaders of Transporters Union Anwar Memon, Muhammad Amin Brohi, Babu Rahim Memon. Shahnawaz Brohi, Iqbal Shah, Sarfraz Kahnbati, Shahnawaz Shah, Malik Pathan, Ali Muhammad Murree and others .
On this occasion, after getting the details from the leaders of Transporters Union and other concerned officers, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on DEPD Sadiq Ali Memon immediately contacted the top officials of Minerals Department and on in the office of Director General Minerals Karachi. A re-meeting has been called for resolution and review. In the meeting, Sadiq Sadiq Ali Memon assured the transporters of his full cooperation and said that all possible efforts would be made to ensure receipt of royalties in accordance with the law and regulations so that the uneasiness of the transporters could be eliminated.
