Sindh Govt is empowering persons with disabilities to live independently. Sadiq Memon

Karachi. (HRNW) Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh Sadiq Ali Memon has said said that Sindh government is working on empowering persons with disabilities to live with dignity and independently and in this regard the role of non governmental organizations is also very highly appreciated. This he said while talking to the delegations of Disabled Welfare Organization ( DWA), Pakistan Independent Living Centres Network ( PILC) and Boltay Huroof here in his office on Tuesday. On this occasion Director General Ghulam Nabi Nizamani was also present. The members of the delegations congratulated SACM on DEPD regarding successful event at CM House Sindh on 3rd December. SACM on DEPD Sadiq Ali Memon asked PILC to extend its services to other parts of the province. PILC briefed SACM Sadiq Ali Memon that it had been working in Karachi and Hyderabad and soon in Thatta too. They also invited SACM Sadiq Ali Memon for Wheelchair Cricket Tournament in Mirpurkhas. He appreciated the efforts of PILC and assured them his full support.

While talking to the members of Boltay Huroof team, SACM on DEPD Sadiq Ali Memon said that visually impaired persons could be made an active member of the society if they were provided proper education and vocational training. He also asked them to submit their proposals how to improve the lives of the visually impaired persons.

SACM on DEPD Sadiq Ali Memon was sure that together we could bring positive change in the lives of persons with disabilities and Sindh Government was fully committed to empower these persons with disabilities.
