Imran Khan’s govt wants to destroy agriculture sector of Sindh province by creating water crisis; Jam Khan Shoro

Karachi: (HRNW) Sindh Minister for Irrigation Department Jam Khan Shoro has said that Imran Khan’s government wants to destroy the agriculture sector of Sindh province by creating water scarcity. Sindh government has been bearing the loss of billions of rupees due to wrong planing of LBOD project and PTI government and IRSA are on the same page in destroying the lands and agriculture sector of Sindh. This he said while visiting different districts of the Sindh province including Mirpurkhas, Badin, TandoAllahyar and other areas to inspect the water situation and damages causing due to LBOD project. Jam Khan Shoro said that Sindh province particularly the tail end areas are becoming barren due to water scarcity and sea intrusion. He said that those who are trying to destroy the Sindh province’s agriculture will not find a place to hide themselves even in Islamabad. Meanwhile, Sindh Minster for Irrigation department Jam Khan Shoro visited different areas of Mirpurkhas, Badin, Umerkot districts to review the overall irrigated water situation and to inspect the condition of Mirpurkhas main drain, Paran Doro, Hakro Doro and LBOD. On this occasion,PPP provincial assembly members Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and Mir Tariq Talpur were also accompanied with him. Officers of irrigation department briefed him in detail on main Mirpurkhas drain and Paran Daro and LBOD.Jam Khan Shoro said that the schemes of Paran Doro’s rehabilitation is very important project because this project would save the MirpurKhas and Badin districts during the heavy rainfall season. He said that due to wrong planning of construction of LBOD project, cracks are being appearing in Paran Doro and Hakro Doro resulted Sindh government is being spended billions of rupees budget. He strictly directed the officers to ensure the resolution of the issues being caused delaying in rehabilitation of Paran Doro project and he also directed them to ensure the immediate solution of all the issues arising out of the LBOD project.
