2,000 acres of land of Gulistan-e-Jauhar declared as property of KDA

Karachi (HRNW) Sindh High Court has declared 2,000 acres of land of KDA Scheme 36 Gulistan-e-Jauhar as property of Karachi Development Authority.

On Friday, December 10, the court, while hearing the petition, declared the Goth certificate issued by the Board of Revenue as illegal.

The court directed that a joint team of DG Rangers, IG Sindh, Board of Revenue and concerned agencies be formed to take steps to curb the encroachments. The land of Kidney Hill and Altiz of Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-10 was seized on the basis of certificate.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on Haji Jaffer Khan, who had filed the petition on the basis of Goth Sanad.

According to the petitioner, issue a certificate of Goth named Chishti Nagar in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-10.
