Karachi (HRNW) Sindh High Court has ordered demolition of Bandhan Shadi Hall on residential land in Korangi.
The court ordered that the marriage hall be demolished and a report be submitted on December 24. If no action is taken, contempt of court action will be taken against the officers.
During the hearing, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput remarked that there could be activities on residential plots. Lawyer Shadi Hall said that she has applied to change the status of the plot. Justice Zafar Rajput asked how one can start commercial activities before the status of the plot changes.
The court asked to state in how many days the proceedings against the illegal marriage hall will be completed. The SBCA lawyer said that the marriage hall would be demolished in 10 days.
