Bayern’s Davies aims to return from heart problem as soon as possible

Bayern Munich full back Alphonso Davies late Saturday thanked fans for their support and said he aimed to return to the pitch as soon as possible from a heart issue.

Davies, 21, was diagnosed with a mild heart inflammation after a coronavirus infection and coach Julian Nagelsmann told Sky TV on Saturday the Canadian would miss at least four weeks of action.

Nagelsmann added that Davies was feeling fine, and the player then took to Instagram late in the day.

“Thanks to everyone for showing so much love and support. I can’t wait to be back on the pitch doing what I love,” Davies said alongside a photo with a thumbs-up gesture.
