Gas load shedding in Central Jail Karachi, inmates did not get lunch

Karachi (HRNW) Like the rest of the country, Karachi’s Central Jail is also being badly affected by the severe gas load shedding, where breakfast was incomplete and lunch could not be prepared.

According to sources, due to gas load shedding in Karachi Central Jail, the jail administration as well as the inmates are being badly affected.

According to sources, due to low gas pressure on Wednesday morning, it was difficult to prepare breakfast for the inmates in the jail. After that, when the lunch phase started, the gas pressure decreased further due to which lunch could not be prepared.

According to prison sources, the inmates were seen busy preparing food by burning gas cylinders or wood in their barracks.

The monthly gas bill of Central Jail Karachi comes to Rs. 9 to 10 lakhs which is paid regularly. Despite this, even in a sensitive place like a jail, the gas supply is affected.

According to jail sources, there are about 6,000 inmates in Central Jail Karachi. Now, if the evening meal is not prepared, the law and order situation may deteriorate.
