Aleem Khan’s spokesperson denies political meetings in London

Lahore (HRNW) Abdul Aleem Khan, former senior Punjab minister and estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader, is in London since Wednesday. Aleem Khan was scheduled to meet Jahangir Tareen to discuss the way forward amid the rapidly evolving political situation of Pakistan. He has recently joined PTI’s disgruntled Tareen group. On Thursday, a section of media reported that he had a three-hour long meeting with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at his residence in London on Thursday. Mian Khalid, Aleem Khan’s spokesperson, has refuted these reports. Khalid said that Aleem Khan’s trip is of personal nature. He is in London to see children who are studying there, he said. During his London visit, Aleem did not had any political meeting, the spokesperson said. On his return, Aleem Khan will meet his friends to decide about the future plan of action. Earlier this week, Aleem Khan announced that he is joining PTI’s Tareen group.
