JI postpones Karachi Rights Caravan scheduled for today

KARACHI: (HRNW) Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi has announced to postpone the Karachi Rights Caravan, scheduled to be taken on Sunday (today), because of rising political uncertainty in the country viewing the no-confidence motion tabled against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The JI Karachi leadership reached the conclusion at a high-level meeting held at Idara Noor-e-Haq to examine the prevailing political tensions.

The JI leaders expressed deep concerns over political behaviour of both treasury and opposition sides that resulted in rising tensions and increased uncertainty.

The meeting expressed deep concerns over the new ethical lows made in the political history of the country as the consciences of people were auctioned.

The JI Karachi leadership also expressed its sorrow and displeasure over the fact that the interests and issues of masses were compromised during the ongoing trade of loyalties.

The JI will announce the new date for the caravan on a later stage while the Karachi Rights Movement will continue during Ramadan.
