PPP offered Rs160m for no-confidence motion vote, alleges PTI MNA

Islamabad (HRNW)Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member National Assembly (MNA) Nusrat Wahid has alleged that she received multiple offers of Rs160m from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to vote in favor of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a video message, Wahid alleged that the she was also offered an assembly seat after the 2023 general elections and fund for development projects.

She claimed that she received the offer twice, one from Punjab and other from Sindh, and the message was sent through a messenger by the PPP leaders.

Wahid said such lucrative offers are tough to resist, but she refused as she believes “ill-gotten wealth destroys generations.”

“What to do with this money? I don’t believe in such kind of money because I think ill-gotten wealth not only defaces you, but destroys your generation,” she said.

Wahid is PTI’s MNA from Sindh on reserved seats for women.
